Mimio..anyone?

Does anyone have Mimio interactive boards in their classrooms? I have had mine for almost 2 years and I love it. I'm also a certified Mimio Master... which was a great experience. I learned so much on lesson creation and how to hook my students.

Even if you don't have a Mimio board, you can still use their software for free (one of the many reasons why I love Mimio). Click on the picture below to get started.

You do need a key to download the software but I have it and I'd be happy to share. Just comment this post and include your email. The software is totally free and can be used without a Mimio board.

On MimioConnect.com (a place where teachers post their lessons) my username is tvillacis. I have a ton of lessons on there which can instantly be used in your class!

Please comment if you do have a Mimio or any interactive board in your room. I'd love to get some new ideas!

Technology in my classroom? ABSOLUTELY!

Mimio is the core of my teaching. When my school's FCAT scores came in, I was pulled into the Principal's office and asked what was the contributing factor that made my scores so successful. Without hesitation I replied with "Mimio." Interactive boards stimulate students and engage them in the learning process. Rather than being spectators during a lesson, they are active participants who contribute ideas. I don't know what I would do without my interactive board.

Ok, that's enough lecturing for tonight.

I heart my Mimio. :)

Here are some snapshots of 2 of my Mimio lessons.

Is Mimeo the one that turns any whiteboard into an interactive board? I have a loaner Promethean board but our principal is leaning towards something that can use our existing boards. Love your samples. How would you use these without a Mimeo?

You have been busy...and you are up to 18! Wow!

I've got a SmartBoard in my classroom but lately haven't been using it to its full potential. I will have to check out your lessons to get motivated.

I can't wait to check out your stuff on Mimio Connect. I also love that I can use any game on the internet with it. In addition to whole group and small group lessons, my kids use it during Math Workstations and Word Word too. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm so excited to find some people who use the Mimio!!

I am a new teacher and I am still getting acquainted with my Mimio. I am a firm believer (and lover) of incorporating technology in the classroom! =)

Just started following your blog.
Excited to find another blog with great resources.

This is great and I love hearing how fellow teachers are using Mimio and loving it! I, too, used Mimio in my classroom for 2 years and now I am a professional development trainer for Mimio! I love it and I love helping teachers realize the potential of all the wonderful opportunities that Mimio offers. Kudos to you!! Iisa.williams@mimio.com if any of you ever need some support. :-).

I enjoyed reading your post. I don't have a Mimio in my classroom but we do have a traveling mimio cart. Only thing is, everyone wants to use it so I rarely get a chance to use it. I'm going to try and submit a project on Donors Choose, maybe I can be as luck as you. Have fun using it!

I am so glad to have found this site!! I am supposed to be getting a Mimio and would love to get the key if that offer is still available to I can start working and see what all will be available for me to do with my kids. I just started teaching Third Grade and the school where I was hired has extremely low test scores. I am hoping to make a difference in my students and help my co-teachers as well.

Thank you,

I would like to know if you think that this would be a good tool for teachers with larger class sizes?
Would it help to improve students learning that aren't getting as much one-on-one time with the teacher?
