Today my kiddos and I discussed the topics of polygons. We made polygons out of toothpicks and marshmallows to reinforce the concepts. The marshmallows really reiterated the idea of vertices, which helps the kids who try to count a vertex as a side.
Any ideas for polygons? And triangles? Triangles are always challenging for students. I LOVE TEACHING MATH.

Have you ever read the book "The Greedy Triangle" by Marilyn Burns? It is such a great book, and perfect to teach about sides!
