Today my kiddos and I discussed the topics of polygons. We made polygons out of toothpicks and marshmallows to reinforce the concepts. The marshmallows really reiterated the idea of vertices, which helps the kids who try to count a vertex as a side.
Any ideas for polygons? And triangles? Triangles are always challenging for students. I LOVE TEACHING MATH.
My name is Tanya Villacis and I am a 3rd grade teacher. I live in overly warm Florida, where its summer all year round. I love my job and couldn't see myself doing anything else.
This blog is dedicated to providing ideas and activities which teachers can use to inspire students!
